ESP is currently closed due to COVID-19, but will re-open on July 20.

ESP registration for the 2020-21 school year will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1.

In order to register for ESP, child(ren) must be registered for a Murfreesboro City School for the 2020-21 school year and be at least 4 years old. Any outstanding balance must be paid in full.

ESP will be open beginning July 20 - July 31 from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. for all incoming Kindergarten through 6th grade students. On August 3, ESP will be open for before and after school care. 

PLEASE NOTE: ESP WILL NOT PROVIDE CARE FOR KINDERGARTEN PHASE-IN. After July 31, incoming Kindergarten students will not be able to attend ESP until August 7. 

For the week of July 20 - 24, breakfast will be provided at 8 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. at all ESP sites EXCEPT Discovery School. Discovery School families will need to provide breakfast and lunch each day. Afternoon snack will NOT be provided at ANY site.

For the week of July 27 - 31, no meals or snacks will be provided at any site. Each student will need to bring breakfast, lunch and snack each day.

Beginning Monday, August 3, students attending afternoon ESP will receive a snack.

Integrated Pre-K students are welcome to attend beginning August 3. Voluntary Pre-K students are welcome to attend beginning August 17.

Health and safety guidelines are still being finalized. The re-opening plan will be made available to parents as soon as it has been approved.

The Extended School Program (ESP) provides a safe, educationally enriching, fun and rewarding experience for all students of Murfreesboro City Schools. Our students have the opportunity to attend a variety of enrichment classes after school. We offer a wide range of classes including but not limited to sports, music, arts and crafts, woodworking, ballet, hip hop dance, cheerleading, cooking, journalism, science, technology, foreign languages, robotics, and many more. We also provide our students with homework assistance and tutoring in specific subjects. Please feel free to contact the site director at your child's school with any questions that you may have. We look forward to meeting your family and assisting with your before and after school needs in any way we can.

The Extended School Program will:

*Provide a safe learning environment for all students enrolled in ESP.

*Offer after-school and summer academic assistance to identified students.

*Provide opportunities for expanded experiences in the areas of fine arts, music, science, technology, language arts, math, recreational sports, health and wellness, and other targeted areas of interest to students.

*Provide a variety of life and cultural activities through field trip experiences.

*Employ quality, certified and non-certified staff to plan and implement student activities at each site.
